Back when PlatinumGames was holding its Kickstarter campaign for The Wonderful 101: Remastered, one of the stretch goals that backers were able to reach was for a set of downloadable content (DLC) featuring Luka as the main character and appropriately titled Luka’s Mission.

Backers were able to accomplish this goal. Even though there hasn’t been much information provided about this DLC up to this point, PlatinumGames has chosen to finally provide a little sneak peak at it that lasts for one minute.
Sadly, this video does not reveal a lot of specifics to cling onto, but it does provide a first glimpse at a development build for the downloadable content (DLC). We can tell from the trailer that it will be a 2D adventure game with side scrolling, and that it will place an emphasis on both platforming and shooting gameplay components. Again, there is no confirmation of any new specifics or a delivery date; but, it is encouraging to note that steady progress is being made on these remaining Kickstarter objectives.

The Wonderful 101: Remastered is the next video game release from PlatinumGames, the studio responsible for the Bayonetta series, ASTRAL CHAIN, NieR:Automata, and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. This will be PlatinumGames’ first attempt at self-publishing a video game, and it is an enhanced edition of The Wonderful 101, which was first made available for the Wii U exclusively by Nintendo on September 15, 2013.
The Wonderful 101: Remastered provides players with the unparalleled capacity to control 100 heroes at the same time, in addition to the fluid controls and exciting action that have become synonymous with PlatinumGames. This is PlatinumGames’ most ambitious offering to this point, and it is all tied together with a heart-pounding story of heroic valor and friendship standing strong against evil.
This remaster has been supervised by Hideki Kamiya, who is the director of The Wonderful 101. Under his direction, numerous enhancements have been made to ensure that this game can be enjoyed more easily and to the fullest extent possible by everyone, on a variety of platforms, and with improved visuals, framerate, and loading time for an improved experience on all fronts.

– The “Unite Morph” feature allows you to rapidly switch between different types of weaponry. Draw shapes to switch between a variety of weapons, such as swords, whips, hammers, and more, in order to engage in combat with strategy and style.
– You’re not limited to using weapons with your Unite Morphs! You may ascend to enormous heights by bouncing and blasting your way to the top by constructing hang gliders and bridges to traverse gaps. Put your head together with your brawn to figure out how to solve the riddles, and don’t give up!

The Wonderful 101: Remastered was launched on the Nintendo Switch in May of 2020, and in August of 2021, it got a little piece of downloadable content linked to Prince Vorkken.
