Vampire: The Masquerade Swansong has a new trailer out that delves more into the game’s RPG concepts.
Players of Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong take control of three heroes, each with their own character sheet, in this version of the pen and paper game. The stats of their characters will be shaped by their selections. It is possible to open a lock, intimidate an NPC, or make more effective deductions based on clues using their Skills. The greater a Skill’s mastery level, the more options players will have.

The heroes also have vampiric abilities called as Disciplines, in addition to their Skills. Galeb, the oldest of the three heroes, may employ Fortitude to endure physical attacks as well as NPC Disciplines. Emem, the elegant queen of the night, employs Celerity to get entrance to regions that are otherwise unavailable. Leysha, who is hyper-sensitive and is being followed by her daughter Halsey, may use Obfuscate to hide her existence… It may even conceal actual things from prying eyes if enough experience points are invested.
Players will have a lot of possibilities if they customize their character sheets. They will develop Talents, which are permanent boosts, if they specialize on a specific playstyle. The more people utilize a skill or discipline, the more likely they are to succeed. NPCs will utilize their stats to protect themselves when players employ Skills or Disciplines during interactions with them. In the event of a tie, a dice roll will determine success or failure, inspired by the pen and paper experience.
Each Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong player will have their own story in this unique Narrative RPG, with over fifteen distinct endings for the key characters and the destiny of Boston’s Camarilla.
Swansong, a sequel to Vampire: The Masquerade, is presently in development for Switch and other platforms. At this time, there is no news on when it will be released on Nintendo’s platform.
