PixelHeart confirmed that Wallachia: Reign of Dracula will be hitting Nintendo Switch later this year, with a target release window of October 2020.

A European physical release of the Castlevania-inspired adventure is currently up for pre-order via PixelHeart’s online store.

WALLACHIA Reign of Dracula, is an epic adventure in the land of horror. The year is 1462. Prince Vlad Dracula is 6 bloody years into his second reign. After losing the throne once before in 1448, Dracula vowed not to let it happen again.

Wallachia: Reign of Dracula is a retro-style action and shooting game inspired by great video game classics such as the famous Castlevania.

The game was developed by Migami Games studios who also created popular fan games such as Castlevania The Lecard and Chronicles 2. Wallachia features the talents of professional voice actors, including Kira Buckland and Robert Belgrade. The game also boasts a unique soundtrack and a story based on the legend of Vlad the Impaler, rather than typical vampire myths. In addition to its 7 levels of action, Wallachia: Reign of Dracula includes numerous bonuses and mini-games, as well as an exclusive bonus from Bloodstained Ritual of the Night. Players play as the new protagonist Elcin Floarea who will face Vlad Dracula and free Wallachia from his tyrannical rule once and for all.
