Local campaign co-op multiplayer is also available in the World War Z Switch update. Until recently, multiplayer has only been available online. Without a Switch Online membership, up to four people may now play the co-op campaign together through local wireless connection. Horde Mode Z and PvPvZ modes, on the other hand, are not playable in local multiplayer.

‘Message of the Day’ banners, general gameplay and graphics tweaks, and performance enhancements are also included in the World War Z version 1.08 update.
