Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – English and Japanese voices with no extra download

Nintendo and Monolith Soft announced that Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will contain both English and Japanese voices when game is released. That implies dual audio is supported straight away. There will be no additional download required for players to access the Japanese voice cast.

No extra download needed

Things were done a little differently in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Following the release of version 1.1, users were required to download the free Japanese-Voice Pack DLC. In the settings, they may then pick between English and Japanese voices.

The majority of this should be avoided in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. There should be a toggle feature in the menu so players can simply switch between English and Japanese. Again, there will be no need for an update or DLC.

Nintendo announced on Twitter that Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will enable dual audio with English and Japanese voices. Both languages were used in an in-game sequence. Fans have also recently discovered that Monolith Soft has improved the lip synching compared to the last entry in the series.

On July 29, 2022, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will be released on the Nintendo Switch.
