The name of the next installment in the Ys role-playing game series has been made public by Falcolm. According to reports, Ys X: Nordics was shown out during Falcolm’s annual shareholders meeting. The game will apparently be available for the PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch.

In honor of the fact that the Ys series will be becoming 35 years old in 2023, the newest numbered installment, Ys X: Nordics, will be released on several platforms that year.
The scene takes place in the northern sea of Obelia Bay, which is home to an unlimited number of islands of varying sizes. Adol Christin, a youthful adventurer, finds himself in a new realm after finishing his exploits in the Ancient Kingdom of Ys. In this new area, he comes with a maritime tribe who are known as “Normans.” Who are these people? Who exactly are these “Griegers,” these eternal undead monsters who prey on humans…?
The combat mechanism that has been employed up to Ys IX: Monstrum Nox has undergone a significant overhaul. The new “Cross Action” feature gives the player the ability to battle in two different ways, depending on the circumstances. Within the more brisk “Solo Mode,” the player only has control of one character, but they have the assistance of automated attacks and the support of their companion. In the “Combination Mode,” the user has the ability to concurrently direct a sequence of actions for both characters, allowing them to engage in back-and-forth battle against tough adversaries.
Additionally, Ys X: Nordics is the first game in the series in which you will have the ability to pilot a ship. This new element adds to the “joy of adventure” that the series is renowned for and allows players to explore large seas utilizing sea charts as a guide while also giving players the opportunity to participate in naval combat against opposing ships. Other new features include the unique power known as “Mana Action,” which dramatically increases the amount of freedom players have when exploring dungeons and open spaces.
The youthful explorer Adol Christin serves as the main character in the brand-new adventure Ys X: Nordics, which takes place in the region of Obelia Bay in the northern sea.
