The Wii was an absolutely incredible success as many of you wil most likely confirm.With a huge number of consumers purchasing Nintendo’s motion controlled system.
And that went from core gamers to families.
Sony all time sales
Sony released its financial results and has published a details showing the five best-selling systems of all-time. Its current PlayStation 4 console has now knocked Nintendo’s legacy system down to fourth place.
Sony now has the three top selling consoles of all-time with the PlayStation 2 in first, PlayStation 4 in second and PlayStation One in third.

- PS2 : > 155 million
- PS4 : 102.8 million
- PS1 : 102.49 million
- Wii : 101.63 million
- PS3 : 87.4 million
Enter the Nintendo Switch
But while this all might seem like great fanfare, keep in mind the Nintendo Switch is still going strong and is far from being done. As a day one buyer I can simply not discount the support and love it had when it comes to games. Im not joking but I have now already gone over 300 titles on the Nintendo Switch. And I still have 30+ games in pre-order … and there is bound to be even more coming.
Nintendo Switch could easily bypass the Nintendo Wii in the long run. And might even kick the PS1 and PS4 out of it’s way. The PS2 though … well that is going to be really interesting to see.
