Dragon Quest X Offline announced launching 2022 In Japan

During the Dragon Quest 35th Anniversary Special livestream, Square Enix revealed Dragon Quest X Offline, an offline adaptation of the Japan-exclusive Dragon Quest X MMO.

Dragon Quest X Offline will be released in 2022, and no specific platforms have been announced as of yet. You can check out the announcement trailer;

There is no release date for when Dragon Quest X Offline will come out.

However, although there’s no release date for Dragon Quest X Offline, Square Enix are planning for the game to come out in Japan in 2022.

Producer Takumi Shiraishi noted

As you might have guessed from the title, this is a new version of [Dragon Quest X Online] that you don’t need an internet connection to play. We’re looking to create an easy-to-pick-up, easy-to-play standalone version… and as you saw in the promotional video, one with a completely different version style to its online cousin.

Dragon Quest X Offline – coming to the west?

There are no plans for Dragon Quest X Offline to come out in the west.

No western or worldwide release has been announced for Dragon Quest X Offline despite plans for it to come out in Japan in 2022.

Square Enix also haven’t revealed what platforms it will be playable on, and Noisy Pixel reports that there was also a ‘There are no plans for a worldwide release’ message found in the bottom corner.
