Following the shutdown of the 3DS and WiiU eShops, Nintendo launched a unique website that allows gamers to revisit their experiences with the systems one final time.

My Nintendo 3DS & WiiU Memories,

The unique website, titled “My Nintendo 3DS & WiiU Memories,” enables gamers to check their 3DS and WiiU play statistics by connecting their Nintendo Network ID to their primary Nintendo account. Players will be able to examine several infographics indicating their overall playtime, total number of games played, top three most played games, preferred genres, and more after the process is complete.

Wii U and Nintendo 3DS eShops phase out

The Wii U system and the Nintendo 3DS family of consoles will no longer be available for purchase in the Nintendo eShop after late March 2023. Free material, such as game demos, will no longer be available for download. Furthermore, as the deadline approaches, connected services will cease to operate:

It will no longer be allowed to add cash to a Nintendo eShop account on the Wii U or the Nintendo 3DS family of devices with a credit card after May 23, 2022.

It will no longer be allowed to use a Nintendo eShop Card to add cash to a Nintendo eShop account on the Wii U or the Nintendo 3DS family of devices after August 29, 2022. However, redeeming download coupons will be allowed until late March 2023.

Users who connect their Nintendo Network ID wallet (for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS systems) to their Nintendo Account wallet (for Nintendo Switch devices) may utilize the pooled balance to buy content on any of these systems until late March 2023. The balance may only be used to buy content on the Nintendo Switch family of devices after that.

Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo Switch family of consoles will remain unchanged.
