There have been some fresh reports concerning Ubisoft’s intentions for 2022. The information comes from Tom Henderson, a supposedly trustworthy leaker who claims to have talked with “many people with firsthand knowledge of Ubisoft’s intentions” in his Xfire piece.
Showcase event planned?
Ubisoft had planned a “huge showcase event” to be broadcast ahead of E3 before being forced to postpone it due to current global events, according to Henderson. Although plans are always open to change, the publisher has a total of 20 titles set up for an announcement.
Aside from the regular Assassin’s Creed titles, a sequel to Immortals: Fenyx Rising is possibly one of the most interesting possible disclosures. According to the source, Ubisoft was delighted with the original’s success, and the sequel is already in the pre-production phases, with employees being hired to work on the game. Apart from that, the source claims that production on Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is still proceeding well and that the game is on pace to release in 2022.
