Jeff Grubb: Metroid Prime remaster a holiday title

Jeff Grubb, a video game writer who has been been on a roll with gaming leaks, has spoken with the crew at Giant Bomb regarding Nintendo’s Christmas 2022 lineup and has been informed “quite clearly” that one of the titles is the long-rumored Metroid Prime remake.

Nintendo seems to be remastering the original Metroid Prime, rather than the complete trilogy, which began on the GameCube and concluded on the Wii with Metroid Prime 3.

About Metroid Prime

Although the Space Pirates are up to their old tricks, Metroid-hunter Samus Aran has a fresh outlook on life. For the first time, you’ll watch Samus go on a new journey via her eyes.

If you haven’t followed the narrative so far, here’s an update. In Metroid for the NES, Samus initially prevented the wicked Space Pirates and Mother Brain from gathering an army of Metroids on the planet Zebes. Then, in Metroid II for the Game Boy, she was tasked with finishing the job on planet SR388, eventually purging the universe of all but a solitary Metroid larva. Samus foiled Mother Brain’s effort to steal the imprisoned Metroid larva from scientists on Ceres in Super Metroid for the Super Nintendo.

This much anticipated fourth chapter opens in classic Metroid fashion, with Samus’ shuttle docking at a dangerous-looking derelict spaceship. But soon long, she’ll be exploring the vast planets of Tallon IV in quest of the Metroid-stealing Space Pirates.

Metroid Prime blends the terrific gun-blasting action that fans of the Metroid series have come to expect with stunning visuals that effortlessly flip between first-person and third-person views. That is not all. Samus may fight and explore the perilous land of Tallon IV by switching between two visor modes: combat and scan. In addition, Metroid Prime includes numerous famous Metroid weaponry, such as the Wave Beam and Freeze Beam, as well as some brand-new armaments. To win this conflict, you’ll need more than just an itchy trigger finger. To find every secret, you must use all of Samus’ powers, including unique outfits that trigger new abilities and the ever-present Morph Ball.

Metroid Prime will blow you away with its fantastic blend of gun-blasting, puzzle-solving action, and cutting-edge visuals!
