About Metroid Prime

Even though the Space Pirates are up to their old tricks, Samus Aran has a new way of looking at life. For the first time, you’ll see what Samus sees as she goes on a whole new adventure, continuing the exciting story that has been told on three generations of Nintendo systems.

If you haven’t been following the story so far, here’s what’s new. In Metroid for the NES, Samus stopped the Space Pirates and Mother Brain from making an army of Metroids on the planet Zebes. Then, in Metroid II for the Game Boy, she had to finish the job on planet SR388, getting rid of all but one Metroid larva in the process. In the Super Nintendo game Super Metroid, Samus stopped Mother Brain from taking the Metroid larva from the scientists on Ceres.

This eagerly awaited fourth chapter starts in classic Metroid fashion, with Samus’s ship docking at a broken-down spaceship that looks dangerous. But soon, she will go out into the vast worlds of planet Tallon IV to look for those Space Pirates who stole Metroid.

Metroid Prime has the great gun-shooting gameplay you’ve come to expect from the Metroid series, along with amazing graphics that switch smoothly between first-person and third-person views. That’s not all, either. Samus can fight and explore her way through the dangerous world of Tallon IV by switching between two modes on her visor: combat and scan. Also, Metroid Prime has many weapons from previous Metroid games, like the Wave Beam and the Freeze Beam, as well as some brand-new weapons. But if you want to win this battle, you’ll need more than just a quick trigger finger. To find every secret, you have to use all of Samus’s skills, like her special suits that give her new abilities and the Morph Ball, which is always with her.

Metroid Prime will blow you away with its amazing mix of shooting, puzzle-solving, and state-of-the-art graphics.
