Legend of Zelda: Tears of Kingdom to be last major title for Nintendo Switch?

Two British video game journalists by the names of Christopher Dring and Andy Robinson have stated on Twitter that they have heard from sources that the highly anticipated The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom could be the final major release for the Nintendo Switch, with the next system-sellers making their debut on the Nintendo Switch’s successor.

The future of Nintendo’s console

While it is obvious that Nintendo is working on major games for the Nintendo Switch this year, such as Fire Emblem Engage, Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe, and Pikmin 4, some journalists assert that these games will not be massive system sellers on par with franchises such as Zelda and Mario, amongst others. This is, as usual, only a rumor, and we all know that Nintendo is a very private organization, so who can say for sure what they have planned?
