Metal Gear Solid’s Raiden voice actor hints at showcase coming soon

In the past few months, there have been a number of significant rumors that have circulated about the exciting Metal Gear Solid game series. The general consensus is that Konami is working with a third party development studio on either a remake or a remaster of one of the older Metal Gear Solid PlayStation games.

In response to a comment posed by a fan on Twitter, the voice actor who portrayed Raiden in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty said that fans should “Stay tuned for things to be released in the coming weeks.” This gave the rumors even more credence than they already had. It would seem that everything would likely become clear in a very short amount of time.

About Raiden

Jack, also known as Jack the Ripper, White Devil, and Snake, was the true name of the mercenary and former special forces soldier known as Raiden. He was of Liberian and American descent. Having served as a child soldier for Solidus Snake in the past, Raiden was eventually chosen by the Patriots to test the S3 Plan at the Big Shell as a new member to the reconstituted FOXHOUND team.

This took place after Raiden had been recruited by the Patriots. Later on, he collaborated with the Paradise Lost Army in their operations against the Patriots, but he was eventually arrested and subjected to extensive cybernetic experimentation against his will. After achieving his goal of evading capture, Raiden went on to provide assistance to Solid Snake during the Guns of the Patriots Incident.

In the year 2018, Raiden joined Maverick Security Consulting, Inc., where he is responsible for a variety of jobs while also earning money for his family. Nevertheless, when they were on an escort operation in Africa, they were ambushed by Desperado Enforcement LLC., who murdered Raiden’s protectee, N’mani, and then abandoned Raiden as if he were dead. Thankfully, the scientist Wilhelm Voigt came to his rescue and helped him together with Maverick in their battle against Desperado.

When Raiden was on a mission in Mexico, he learned that Desperado and World Marshal Inc. had kidnapped several children, surgically removed their brains to place into cybernetic bodies, and were planning to subject them to VR training modeled after Raiden’s own experience. This information turned Raiden’s obsession with Desperado into a personal vendetta against Desperado. After that, Raiden handed in his resignation from Maverick in order to go after World Marshal in Colorado and reclaim the brain cases that belonged to the children.
