After the announcement Paper Mario: The Origami King, Venture Beat is now reporting more of Nintendo’s plans for the Nintendo Switch in the near future.
Pikmin 3 … Deluxe?
The outlet claimed that, besides the 3D Mario remasters reported in the last few months, Pikmin 3 Deluxe is ready for release on Nintendo Switch.
So we could be hearing more about Pikmin 3 Deluxe in the future. What will deluxe mean? Will it be joined with a teaser for Pikmin 4 releasing later down the road … we don’t know.
Do we want it to be real … you are damn right we are hoping that. But until Nintendo confirms it in any way or form … take any Pikmin news with a grain of salt … more or less like we always treated Paper Mario news.
About Pikmin 3
Here is a slight refresher for people who never got to experience Pikmin 3;
On a hostile planet, command a giant army of tiny ant-like creatures to protect you, only in Pikmin 3. Lead two new Pikmin types as you explore a rich and diverse world.
Aim your Pikmin with total precision: fling them to latch onto enemy weakspots or pass over gaps. Whichever control option you choose, you can watch over the action with an overhead view on the GamePad and quickly switch between areas by sliding your finger on the touch screen, allowing you to keep track of your teams with ease.
Crack enemies’ tough outer shells and break down barriers with the new Rock Pikmin, and use the new Winged Pikmin in combination with the individual skills of other Pikmin types to proceed. Decide how best to divide your Pikmin teams to assign them the most appropriate tasks, and maximise your progress in each day.
Explore an expansive single-player adventure, and take on discrete challenges in Mission Mode, where the aim is to amass as much treasure as possible within a strict time limit. At the end of each stage, use the action replay feature to review your performance and formulate new strategies, increasing replay value.
