New Pokemon anime to premiere April 14th in Japan

The brand-new Pokemon anime, was just revealed by the official Pokemon account on Twitter to air for the first time in Japan on Friday, April 14 at 6:55 p.m. local time on TV Tokyo.

The show will include two new main characters. Ash Ketchum, the main character of the series, has been a part of the anime for almost to 25 years at this point. Liko and Roy, the two new protagonists, will take his position. We in the west do not yet have a release date for the newest Pokemon anime, but as soon as The Pokemon Company makes the announcement, we will make it a point to let you know when it will be available.

First synopsis

A fresh plot summary for the anime adaptation from 2023 was also made available.

“The new series will be a fresh dream and adventure set in the whole Pokémon universe. Liko and Roy will embark on adventures with a large number of Pokémon, such as Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. The series will also include other Pokémon.

Aside from what has been shown above, what we do know about the forthcoming Pokemon anime is quite little at this point. Although we have seen pictures of Liko and Roy, absolutely little is known about either of their personalities at this point.

Liko seems to have many of Ash’s characteristics, and she even wears a hairpin that matches his. This has led many fans to speculate that Liko is really Ash’s daughter. This is only a hunch at this point, but if this turns out to be true, the new Pokemon show may take place in the future with an older version of Ash.
