Over 700 million in hardware units sold

There’s no disputing the impact Nintendo has had in the video game industry and recent data has revealed that the company has shifted over 700 million hardware units.

The news was presented by Phantom Thief (A Reset Era member) . Nintendo has sold a total of 727.65 million hardware units. When broken down that is 300.54 million units for home consoles and 427.11 million units for handhelds.

On average, Nintendo has sold 20.7 million units of hardware every year since 1983
This list does not include the Virtual Boy (for obvious reasons), the NES Classic, and the SNES Classic.

But all in all that is still impressive, also what we should note is that the Nintendo Switch is already well on it’s way on catching up with the Nintendo Gamecube when you look at these numbers.
