Yuji Naka, one of Sonic’s creators going to Square Enix

One of the creators of Sonic is no longer part of Sega / Sonic Team.

Yuji Naka is a big name in the gaming industry, mainly because he contributed to one of the most iconic game characters; Sonic.

About Yuji Naka

Yuji Naka continued until 2006 with Sonic Team and then severed his ties with his creation. He opened his own company, Prope, where he created games like  Let’s Tap, Let’s Catch and some mobile games.  Starting this month, Yuji Naka started working at Square Enix, the publisher of, among other Final Fantasy, Tomb Raider, Deus Ex and Hitman.

What Yuji Naka is right now doing for Square Enix is unknown. The good man told the following on Twitter;

To keep you informed; I joined Square Enix this month. As before, I will be to focus on developing games. I do my best to create entertaining games, look out for!
