If you can believe it, a brand new update to Mario Kart 7 with the version number 1.2 has just gone live. We are, in fact, referring to the Mario Kart game for the 3DS, and not the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe version for the Switch.
Nintendo has made the patch notes available, although they don’t provide much in the way of new information. Only the following statement is made by the company: “Several problems have been corrected to enhance the overall gaming experience.”
Dataminers may examine the patch at a later time in order to get further information on the change. However, for the time being, much of it remains a mystery. It is not apparent why Nintendo would opt to update the game after such a lengthy period of time; after all, it has been more than a decade since Mario Kart 7 made its debut on 3DS in 2011.
