Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope – Day one update patch notes

You may have noticed that there was a day one update available if you’ve started playing Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. The patch notes have been released by Ubisoft.

The update is important since it contains a vast number of fixes. Battle, exploration, and other aspects have been enhanced.

Day one update patch notes

The following are the complete patch notes for the Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope day one update:

  • FIXES FOR EXPLORATION BUGS
    • fixed many framerate issues.
    • Heroes could no longer get caught in a wall in the tunnel under Woodrow’s home.
    • Fixed a bug that might cause the game to soft-lock at the conclusion of the puzzle in the side mission “The Riddle of Barrendale Mesa.”
    • Fixed a problem where, after finishing the side quest “The Riddle of Barrendale Mesa,” you may not be rewarded and the mission would not disappear from your quest record.
    • Fixed a problem where the L-shaped connection from the third circular puzzle on Barrendale Mesa would sometimes vanish.
    • NPCs that wouldn’t always stop moving when the heroes approached has been fixed.
    • Fixed a problem where Heroes might enter the Everbloom Tree in Terra Flora outside of its boundaries near the first Rabbid Pipe.
    • The Teleportation Flag close to a tree and some rocks next to the Volcano entrance on Terra Flora been fixed to prevent Heroes from being stranded there.
    • Fixed a bug on Terra Flora where Heroes might get trapped and cross a line near to a Darkmess puddle.
    • In the Sunrise Temple on Beacon Beach, a problem where Heroes can get trapped near to an Echo Memory has been resolved.
    • The Armored Goomba on Beacon Beach was missing if you lost the encounter and left the area to continue exploring later. This problem has been fixed.
    • Fixed a problem where the starbits would spawn extremely slowly after touching the Teleportation flag located on Pristine Peaks after winning the “Icy Breath of Winter” combat.
    • Fixed a problem where, after leaving the second cave on Pristine Peaks, you would constantly hear Rabbids laughing in the SFX.
    • The stupid fish respawn rate for the Victor challenge on Beacon Beach has been fixed.
  • Combat bug fixes
    • A problem whereby Rabbid Luigi’s improved Technique only inflicted weakness to physical damage as opposed to all damage, has been fixed.
    • The game would sometimes stall when Rabbid Peach’s Healing Jump healed an NPC ally.
    • Fixed a problem where, sometimes, if Rabbid Peach’s Healing Jump took place on a trampoline, the game may get stuck.
    • Fixed a bug where sometimes the Bob-omb on the building in the Beacon Beach fight “Explosive Situation” would spawn within the building’s roof.
    • It was resolved that if two goombas pressed each other as they entered or exited a Rabbid pipe, they may get soft-locked.
    • Fixed a bug where, despite the fact that dashing numerous foes would harm them, the red and yellow spike marking wasn’t always shown appropriately.
    • Fixed a problem where the large Goomba from “A Truly Ginormous Goomba” wasn’t doing enough harm on Beacon Beach.
    • Fixed a bug where, after analyzing Midnite with Beep-0 in the “Midnite Library” combat on Pristine Peaks, players would get an error message and a crash.
    • Fixed a problem where a Lone Wolf would make noise for longer than intended if it was hit by a Fire super effect and survived.
    • The game would crash if you activated the Spark Screech near to the Darkmess eggs during the “Hide n’Squeak” questline combat.
    • The “A Blast Through The Bedrock” combat on Palette Prime had a bug where, sometimes, the game would crash when Bedrock jumped after the Heroes attacked her.
    • Fixed a problem where Bedrock sometimes entered the T-Pose after leaping in the Palette Prime combat “A Blast Through The Bedrock.”
    • Fixed a problem where Darkmess Eyes might sometimes spawn during the “One Angry Wiggler” combat on Terra Flora beyond the reach of many heroes.
    • The ability for a Hero to get stranded on a cauldron during the “Spout Forth” combat has been fixed.
    • Fixed a bug that might have led to a game crash while smashing barrels in the Terra Flora combat “Foul Attraction.”
    • Fixed a bug where, if you tossed a sphere from the cauldron out of bindings without having it explode, the combat during Terra Flora’s “Quest For Courage” questline would soft-lock.
    • Fixed a problem where the damage done by Electric Traps in the “A Foul Windmill Blows” combat on Barrendale Mesa was improperly shown.
    • The “The Desert Riptides” combat on Barrendale Mesa has a bug fixed where a Riptide may become lodged in a wall if it was propelled there by a Gust effect.
    • The problem where an adversary will pursue heroes to exact revenge after being attacked has been fixed.
    • Fixed a problem where Heroes might get stranded on a platform in the “Magikoopa Mayhem” encounter on Barrendale Mesa.
    • Fixed a problem where a Magnafowl’s technique would continue to work even if one of Bowser’s summoned Mecha Koopas exploded while it was being used on it.
    • During the last fight, various problems were fixed.
    • Fixed a bug that might cause the game to crash if a barrel in the “King of Darkmess” combat was broken.
    • Fixed a bug where the “Deep, Dark Secret” battle’s opponent turn might cause the game to soft-lock.
  • COMMON BUGS FIXES
    • fixed a bug that sometimes caused the game to crash when entering the map after a combat.
    • fixed a number of problems that might have led to game crashes.
    • Fixed a problem where, sometimes, hitting the Home button on any loading screen would cause the game to crash.
    • The voices no longer sometimes continue into the next cinematic and overlap it if you hit A to skip a cinematic.
    • Various difficulties involving pressing many buttons simultaneously were fixed.
  • REACTION OF THE USER
    • The Prologue questline’s problem with Rabbid Mario’s “I’m back!” being cut off and becoming “I’m” has been fixed.
    • Spanish-speaking gamers’ text display problem has been fixed.
    • VFX during the “A Foul Windmill Blows” combat were not playing properly due to a bug that was fixed.
    • Fixed a problem where Spark voices were absent in the prologue’s last section.
    • SFX for the Red Coin Challenge on Beacon Beach had a problem with inadequate equalization, which has been fixed.
    • SFX that was missing when the Heroes utilized ladders has been fixed.
    • SFX were missing when a Squashette was called, which was fixed.
    • corrected a problem where portions of the Beacon Beach cinematic’s scenes were missing.
    • On Barrendale Mesa, a problem where background music was overly loud during exploration and battle was fixed.
    • Several NPC Rabbid voices that were missing on Terra Flora, Barrendale Mesa, and Palette Prime have been fixed.
    • There was a bug that prevented audio from playing in the Echo Memory menu.
