Pupa Productions was successful in acquiring funds for the Molochoir project not too long ago on Kickstarter. Through their contributions, fans raised slightly over £25,000 to help bring the idea to reality. Additionally, Nintendo Switch was one of the target platforms, and this was included in the financing objective.
About Molochoir
The genres of Metroidvania and survival horror are both used to characterize Molochoir in the game’s official description. The idea behind the game is for players to put themselves in the position of a member of one of the world’s most helpless animals. The majority of your time will be spent “recovering health with the proboscis and risking that health to cast a range of deadly self-harming spells in order to knock down the eldritch creatures that stand in your path.”
A melee attack is one of the ways that players may survive in Molochoir. In particular, players can make use of a retractable knife whip, which inflicts little amounts of damage on adversaries and allows them to regain a tiny bit of health by draining their life force while doing so. To make advantage of it, you must, however, be in extremely close proximity to a foe in order to do so. In addition, it will not operate if the monster you are up against is unable to bleed. You may also make use of the blood magic known as “Hemomancy,” but doing so will cost you a varied amount of your health.
Remember that Molochoir isn’t going to be the right fit for everyone. According to Pupa Productions, the game “will contain some incredibly frightening sequences in addition to covering highly contentious subject matter.” Additionally, the company claims that the game will have “complete nudity, brutality, and sheer existential dread.”
