Sea of Stars, which is being developed for us by the same skilled team that was responsible for The Messenger, will be available on the Nintendo Switch eShop throughout the summer of next year.
Since it was initially revealed in March of 2020, the strategy role-playing game (RPG), which is a turn-based game and is influenced by the classics of the genre, has been repeatedly postponed. On the official Sea of Stars Twitter account, the news was revealed in a fresh message from the illustrious composer Yasunori Mitsuda, accompanied with new gameplay video.

Sea of Stars aims to modernize the traditional role-playing game (RPG) in terms of turn-based combat, storytelling, exploration, and interactions with the environment, while still providing a hearty helping of nostalgia and good, old-fashioned fun. Sea of Stars promises to have the Sabotage touch in every system.
The amount of damage dealt is increased while the amount of damage taken is decreased when the action button is pressed in time with the animations. In addition to timed hits, the combat system includes multi-character combo attacks, boosting, and a strategic “locks” system that offers options to play with different damage types in order to hinder enemies while they are channeling powerful attacks or spells. All of this is presented in an immersive take on the genre, as there are no random encounters, no transitions to separate battlefields, and no grinding.
You may navigate the environment by swimming, climbing, vaulting, jumping off of, or being hoisted up ledges thanks to a navigation system that is built on platformer experience and breaks away from the traditional bound-to-the-grid tileset mobility. This allows you to travel more freely across the globe.
