With the 28th Maximus Cup and the chance to unlock a fresh new theme, Tetris 99 is commemorating the forthcoming release of Pokemon Legends: Arceus. This comes ahead of the game’s January 28 debut.
The new Tetris 99 event will take place between January 21 and January 25, according to Nintendo. You’ll be eligible to join if you have an active Nintendo Switch Online or Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription. Players will simply need to collect event points, which are determined by how well they play in each match. After achieving 100 points, the Tetris 99 theme for Pokemon Legends: Arceus will be unlocked. Background art, music, and Tetrimino designs are unique to each theme.
Tetris 99 has become known for its unique themes. Mario Party Tennis received a lot of attention last month. Prior to that, Metroid Dread was given a unique theme to commemorate the game’s release. Monster Hunter Rise was the game’s only third-party theme. WarioWare: Get It Together!, Mario Golf: Super Rush, Super Mario 3D World Plus Bowser’s Fury, Super Mario All-Stars, Paper Mario: The Origami King, and others are among the other designs available.
