Nintendo has revealed new details about Xenoblade Chronicles 3, particularly about the game’s regions and characters. The game is set in Aionios and involves the antagonistic countries of Keves and Agnus. Keves is the birthplace of mechanical technology, and its armies are mostly made up of battle vehicles.
They use tiny, mobile armament units manned by troops. Agnus is a country founded on the magical technology known as ether, which is also used in warfare. They fight with tiny, mobile, autonomous weapons that utilise ether technology.

- Eunie: Noah and Lanz’s childhood pal with a harsh tongue and a tough demeanor. On combat, she specializes in healing her comrades.
- Mio: The story’s second protagonist, Mio is an Agnus soldier and an off-seer like Noah.
- Taion is a strategist who uses his wits and expertise to fly alongside Mio.
- Sena: This soldier is Mio and Taion’s buddy. Despite her little stature, Sena has tremendous physical strength!
