The following is a complete list of the patch notes for the Project Winter update known as “Speak the Truth”:

NEW FEATURES & GENERAL CHANGES:

Toxmod

We are evaluating Modulate’s speech moderation software, which is named ToxMod, via a partnership with the company.

ToxMod is able to function by analyzing the audio of voice conversation inside the game. You may think of it as a neutral extra player in your lobby who is keeping an eye out for any harmful interactions and reporting them. When it identifies potentially harmful behavior, it marks it with a special flag and then reports the relevant audio to us. Because of ToxMod, we are able to replay audio that has been reported in a game without needing to rely on a player to capture it first. Both Other Ocean and Modulate place a high priority on protecting the privacy of its players; any audio from survivors will be anonymised and erased after thirty days at the latest.

ToxMod is not an automatic banning mechanism, and the method in which we police compliance with our Community Guidelines will not be altered in any way. You will not be kicked out of the game for cursing or engaging in lighthearted banter with your buddies. Before taking any action, we are going to continue doing manual reviews of each case, giving due consideration to the circumstances, and investigating.

Timeline Refresh

We have revitalized and modernized the Timeline screen so that it now displays the time as well as the location of match occurrences.

Players will be able to see which parts of the map had the greatest activity and will have a clearer understanding of what transpired over the whole of the map as a result of this.

SHIFTS IN THE BALANCE:

Crates of the Traitor

Traitor boxes have had their contents modified so that they no longer always include a poisoned crossbow. Traitor boxes have had their contents modified so that they no longer always include a poisoned crossbow.

There is an almost fifty percent chance that each Traitor package will include a poisoned crossbow.

Traitor Crates no longer provide Normal Crossbows as loot.

Changed the percentage of time it takes for level 2 energy drinks to spawn in non-cabin Traitor Crates.

The new values are roughly as follows:

Vodka 40%.

Level 1 Drink 55%.

Level 2 Drink 5%.

The amount of traps and useful items that may be discovered in Traitor Crates has been increased.

Objectives

The Blackout Animal Waves Objective now has a more tough difficulty setting.

Added two more hours to the minimum necessary “Repair Resources” in order to complete “Repair” initial goals.

We moved the Blackout Wave Console farther away from the Main Objective so that animals can find their way around more easily.

Equilibrium of Weapons

The maximum damage that can be dealt by the shotgun has been raised to 420 from 375.

84×5 (84 damage each shot, with 5 shots per click) (84 damage per shot, with 5 shots per click).

The number of gun components that randomly appear in the Armory has been reduced by a little amount.

When the player is pointing the shotgun, their field of view will be diminished significantly.

Scaling of damage now occurs when the Bolt Action Rifle is farther away from its target. When firing the weapon at a close range, you will do less damage overall.

Damage of around 200 will be dealt while attacking at very close range.

The damage increases exponentially, reaching a maximum of 400 points in damage.

CHANGES IN THE GENERAL BALANCE:

The likelihood of finding a crossbow in the Open Bunker’s treasure tables has been significantly reduced thanks to some recent adjustments.

The amount of time it takes for the Immune’s basic ability to charge up has been increased from 5 minutes to 6 minutes.

We’ve cut down on the number of useful objects that may be discovered in bunkers.

Traitor Airdrops now have a lower chance of spawning a Remote Sabotager than they did before.

The ability to use Trip Wires to ensnare Blackout Traitor Crates has been added.

Added protection against the spawning of multiple Traitor Items in Airdrops.

KNOWN ISSUES:

In Canadian French, the phrase “immune function” is rendered incorrectly.

Numerous languages that are supported have not been brought up to speed with the new Yeti and Hunter descriptions.

On the Blackout map, the first objective beacon has appeared on the North East tile.

When compared to their true position, several symbols on the new timeline screen seem to be in the opposite position.

In the settings for the keyboard keybinds, rather than displaying a prompt to assign a keybind, the words “Emote Menu” are shown instead.

During an Airdrop Global Event, the Event symbol will stay on the screen even if you control the action using a Hysterical Gas or Solar Flare remote.

All of a player’s movement speed will be permanently reduced if they are revived by a necromancer while they are in a herb bush.

If an Icebomb is used to trap an objective, the “Survive without installing any traps” bonus goal is not considered to have been failed.

If a player swaps clothes with another player who was previously tagged with a green Tracker Tag, the player will see the incorrect color displayed on their tag.

After utilizing their DLC token, trial DLC participants will no longer have access to the timeline.

BUG FIXES:

CustomAuthentication now has these newly added pieces of information.

Failed error message that can be used to assist in locating the source of the error.

Fixed High Risk Crates spawning outside of the Risk Zone.

It should no longer seem that the text on the Advanced button is crowded and run off the page when the language is set to German or Russian.

Fixed an issue that caused the Bleed timer to continue running until the player died, even if they were not currently being bled.

The description of the Tracker role’s abilities has been updated to reflect the new developments.

It is now possible to utilize the ability wheel after switching roles to Immune while in Practice Mode without the wheel instantly filling up and rendering it unusable.

The text for “Matches Left Early” was improperly positioned and overflowed the text box on the Profile menu when either Spanish or Chinese was chosen as the language to use. This issue has been fixed.

Fixed an issue where the text on the Host button in a preset would overflow when the Greek language was chosen as the active language.

After the adjustment of the ability, the description of the Immune has been updated.

Correction made to the Penguin Pajamas so that they no longer display as Caribou Pajamas when the language is set to Portuguese or Canadian French.

Everyone may now download the “Speak the Truth” update for Project Winter on their Nintendo Switch systems.
