De New York Videogame Critics Circle heeft de genomineerden bekendgemaakt voor de 9e jaarlijkse New York Game Awards, die op 21 januari worden gehouden.
Net als de bekendere jaarlijkse Game Awards, zijn de New York Game Awards bedoeld om “de allerbeste games en game-ontwikkelaars in de industrie” te vieren, evenals het “non-profitwerk in achtergestelde gemeenschappen” van de kring.
Reggie
Reggie Fils-Aimé ontvangt bovendien de Andrew Loon Legend Award tijdens het evenement. Deze prijs “erkent individuen en organisaties die een aanzienlijk, langdurig oeuvre vertonen dat buitengewone prestaties en innovatie vertoont”, en wordt aan Reggie gepresenteerd voor zijn rol bij de introductie van de Wii, Nintendo DS en Nintendo Switch in de wereld.
