Comic Book kreeg de kans om Yukio Kusumoto, SEGA’s animatiedirecteur, te interviewen.
Met het succes van Sonic’s geanimeerde shorts zoals Sonic Mania Adventure enz. Vroegen ze of hij vond dat het tijd was voor Sonic om een nieuwe cartoonshow op televisie te hebben.
Kusumoto antwoordde door te zeggen dat hij denkt dat de wereld er klaar voor is.

ComicBook: Do you think the popularity of these shorts could eventually lead to a full on show in the same style? Is the world ready for another animated Sonic TV show?
Yukio Kusumoto: I think the world is definitely ready for another TV show, and I would love to work on it. There are several discussions and this is coming from me personally […] I would love Sonic to continue, so I’ll keep trying to put more stuff out there.
Laten we maar zeggen dat ze verfrissend waren om te zien in 2019, meer ze zullen zeker het Sonic-merk niet schaden.
